SHANNON MCFARLANE
a short biography
Shannon McFarlane is a visual artist, born in Winnipeg, Canada, in the depths of winter, 1993. She is a self-taught artist, having spent most of her life drawing, painting, creating.
Her works of ink, graphite or paint are deeply detailed, often dark, mysterious, and even melancholic, and portray scenes and figures that evoke an elusive sense of emotional understanding.
A trained tattoo artist by trade, Shannon has extended her skillset into this field, using skin, ink and needles as canvas and medium. However, she has maintained her fine art practice throughout, and continues to strive to balance both aspects of her artistic career.
Moving forward, Shannon hopes to further her fine art career with continued exhibitions, both nationally and internationally.
